2009...

It's a new year, and everyone I know is swearing to stick with resolutions. So, I thought I would post a few of my own things that are in need of some tweaking. It is also important for me to note that I refuse to "diet." I have a deep rooted belief that the word itself sets you up for failure. I have already begun to "weed out the crap," so to say with my eating habits. I began with the endless chowing down all night while at work. Hello, can I say mooooo? Just because I'm up all night, doesn't give me a endless case of the munchies. I'm now working on getting completely rid of pop. Sigh...this hits close to my heart, because I have been an advocate of pop my entire life. There are far to many nasty ingredients, including high fructose corn syrup. (Don't get me started with that garbage. The commercials lie!) So it really must go. I feel a calling to research organic foods. I'm attracted to the idea of food without pesticides, and chemicals. So, tomorrow I'm going to explore a Whole Foods store in Lexington. I'm sure it's expensive, but I just want to try a few things, and see what I think. Exercises is another big change in my life. My goal is to work out 3-5 times a week. I need quick paced cardio, but my endurance currently is non-existant. In a few weeks I hope to report an increase in my running ability! ;) These are just a few of my changes, but it will pay greatly if I stick with it. I would like to be swimsuit ready by summer...it's time to trash the mu mu.

sounds good. I think it is smart not to call it dieting. That is an evil word.
